Women Empowered ("WE") is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of professional women based in S. California. Our mission is to empower & strengthen women. Our goal is to provide support & develop long-lasting and meaningful friendships, as well as serve our community. Since the founding of Women Empowered in 2008, WE has empowered women within the group as well as within our community through professional development, health & financial awareness, & other social and charitable activities. Our volunteer work supports local organizations which include women's shelters for battered women and women in poverty, mentorship of young women & girls, & arts & crafts for children, among other volunteer efforts. Recently, WE has formed a Book Club & a Hiking Group, to promote health & the importance of reading & discourse with the underlying purpose of creating stronger bonds within the group. WE combines philanthropy with socializing & networking with women of diverse cultures & backgrounds.
